Hello West Mercer Families,


New Bach Music School, a premier provider of classical music education, is excited to offer a Piano Class designed specifically for K–5 graders. Our school partners with local schools to deliver high-quality after-school enrichment programs led by extraordinary musicians and experienced educators who hold advanced degrees and Ph.D.s.

Class Description
Through our Piano Class, students will learn essential skills including hand position, note reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and music theory. Students will also have the opportunity to learn and play a variety of fun songs, creating an engaging learning experience. Keyboards and headphones are provided, and each student will receive a lesson book. Upon completing the class, students will be awarded a New Bach Music School Certificate to celebrate their musical achievements.

What to Expect
• The class is open to all K–5 students — new, returning, and experienced. We look forward to making music together.

For new students:
• The class serves as an introduction to classical music, with many families choosing it as a starting point before pursuing private lessons for long-term study.
• Builds a strong musical foundation before students move into band, orchestra, or choir in upper elementary or middle school.

For returning students:
• Students are encouraged to take multiple sessions. New material will be introduced each term, and students will progress to more advanced levels over time.

For experienced students:
• Supports students returning to piano study after a break.
• Provides additional mentorship and artistic enrichment for students who are already taking private lessons.

What Do You Need?

  • No equipment is required to register, as all materials and equipment will be provided. 

  • Each student will receive one free book and have access to their own keyboard and headphones.
